CloudKid Presents BB Cooper, Jake Daniels, Kaphy - Monster
Dark, cinematic and moody best describe this first bangin’ collaboration of the year for CloudKid. On ‘Monster,’ Jake Daniels’ and BB Coopers’ vocals complement each other with each verse, as they both sing about getting revenge. Made possible with production by Kaphy, all three will help listeners choose between letting the monster out, or keeping him in.
Jake Daniels says of the song, “It’s about getting that feeling of wanting revenge. It takes a unique approach of using a game style format, much like the movie “SAW,” albeit a little less gruesome and gory, where the narrator is describing himself and giving warnings of the beast inside of him that is about to wake up. Hence, the “monster” is born. It’s also a play at the fact there is both good and evil inside every one of us, and that we have a choice on whether to unleash what we feel inside, or not.”
»There's both good and evil inside every one of us.«
American singer-songwriter, Jake Daniels considers himself to be a dark pop and alternative artist. Born and raised in a small city in upstate New York, with musically gifted parents and siblings, Jake’s artistic journey began early, and today that journey has garnered a few more companions to accompany him. With hundreds of millions of views and streams ranging across various platforms, spots on the top pop and alternative charts in his region, having only released music since 2019, Daniels has amassed a strong online presence across the world, due to his relatable lyrics and story-driven songwriting. His most viral and cinematic track “Two Face” jolted his career, with Youtube’s animation and Gacha community welcoming it — and him — with open arms, making him go from small town hero to global spectacle in a matter of months. Now with his first EP behind him, Daniels is back to continue taking the world by storm! Alongside him is BB Cooper, who hails from an undisclosed location. Several attempts have been made at guessing his true identity (including referring to him, instead, as DB), none of which have had any luck in a reveal. However, with this secrecy, comes an authenticity, with many of Cooper’s lyrics and themes often being personal in nature and reflective of the turbulent journey he has traveled thus far. Lastly, Kaphy, born and raised in Mexico, is a music producer with large ambitions and an outlook on his future with music. He started producing at the age of 13, via an old laptop and cheap headphones, constantly working towards learning more, experimenting with many elements and genres within electronic music, trying to find the right sound he would soon go on to produce and make his staple style He’s since had the urge to become a multi-instrumentalist and a catalyst force in his one-man rock band. Together, they release ‘Monster,’ for the masses, out now!
